Meet the creative minds who founded Alpine Epoxy Customs

OWEN BENDER

Owen comes from a blue-collar family and has worked in construction for as long as he can remember. Out of all the trades he was involved in, he had the most passion for carpentry and worked on a crew that specialized in fences. He led teams of up to five people and was head of operations for the fence jobs by the time he left the company. He left to pursue college and got his General Business Diploma at Fanshawe College. He then started his own fence company that same year in London. Knowing that fences are seasonal, he knew he had to keep himself busy during the winter months and co-founded Alpine Epoxy Customs with his friend and business partner, Michael Franklin.

MICHAEL FRANKLIN

Michael also comes from a home of modest means. Growing up in south Florida afforded him the opportunity to witness several space shuttle launches, fuelling a lifelong passion in science and mathematics. Pursuing that, he put himself through Western University, graduating with degrees in chemical engineering and biomedical biophysics. Eventually transitioning to software engineering, he dealt with various midsize tech companies on a contractual basis, doing refactoring and language conversion to optimize running costs.
